XAT 2022 Syllabus: The Xavier Aptitude Test, or XAT Exam, is a national-level management entrance exam offered by the Xavier Labour Relations Institute in Jamshedpur. XAT is one of the popular MBA entrance exams for gaining admission to XLRI Jamshedpur's MBA/PGDM programmes. After the CAT, the XAT is the most widely taken MBA entry exam, with over 75000 candidates registering each year. XAT 2022 Syllabus
XAT 2022 Syllabus is similar to other management entrance exams in India, most notably CAT. The Xavier Aptitude Test syllabus is divided into 4 sections, Quantitative Ability and Data Interpretation, Analytical Reasoning and Decision Making, Verbal and Logical Ability, and General Knowledge.
Please note that every year, the XLRI makes certain changes to the XAT Syllabus. Let's take a closer look at the syllabus. Candidates taking the XAT Entrance Exam should familiarise themselves with the topics listed below.
Quantitative Ability and Data Interpretation
The XAT Quantitative Ability and Data Interpretation syllabus for 2022 includes topics like Geometry, Algebra, Mensuration, Arithmetic, Modern Math, and Trigonometry, among others.

Analytical Reasoning and Decision Making

Note 1: There will be no negative marking for the General Knowledge section.

Stage 2 & Stage 3 – Group Discussion & Personal Interview
The majority of the XAT Group Discussion and Personal Interview round's details are not disclosed. However, candidates can expect to go through a Group Discussion followed by a Personal Interview. In the final selection process for seat allotment, both rounds will be given a 20 per cent weightage.
Important points to remember – XAT Entrance Exam Syllabus
- The overall number of questions for all of the parts listed above could be slightly raised or decreased.
- The XAT 2021 marking method is projected to remain more or less the same, while minor tweaks to the negative marking scheme may be made if there are eight unattempted questions in a sequence.
- The XAT exam is predicted to be moderately difficult to tough.
